Position the mud flap against the wheel arch and secure it with the liner at the original mounting points. The factory screw or clip holds both parts. The supplied fixings are spares in case a clip is missing or an old screw has rusted. Most vehicles require no drilling or trimming.
Simply turn the front wheels for access. The rear wheel usually stays in place: a gap of around 8 cm between the wheel and liner is enough to reach the fixings with a short screwdriver or an angled Torx key. Remember to check the lower mounting point, which is easy to miss.
If the edge of the mud flap touches painted bodywork, apply a narrow strip of clear paint-protection film, Oracal film or good-quality double-sided tape before fitting. The mud flap itself does not scratch the paint, but grit trapped beneath a moving part can act as an abrasive over time.
